Sunday Mornings
|
8am Classes Several times during the year we offer a variety topical classes in which you can meet other people while learning and growing together as individuals and friends. These classes meet at 8am before the morning Worship service. Some of the topics we've looked at recently include how to get out and stay out of debt, how to talk to others about our faith, what the Bible teaches about things like the future, angels, heaven and hell, the needs of mankind, the nature of God, and much more. Look in the weekly worship folder for dates and topics.
|
Worship Service Each week at 9:30am we gather to worship God, pray, celebrate God's goodness, hear his Word taught, and enjoy each other's company. Your preschool children will be cared for in our church nursery as well invited to briefly join Pastor Doug during the service for Kid's Korner. Elementary age children have their own Sunday School program during the church service. All Middle and High School students are invited to attend the adult service and break away afterward during Café time for their own 30 minute interaction time with Justin, our pastor of student ministries.
|
Café Time Following our Morning worship service you can grab a cup of coffee or tea and join the crowd at one of our Café tables for a bite to eat as well as the chance to discuss and apply what you just heard during the sermon. Not only will the 20-30 minutes you spend there help you meet some new folks, but it will also drive your spiritual growth forward as you find ways to put God's truths into action. |

Faith Groups
|
During the week you're invited to check out one of our small groups. We have
a variety of groups for all different ages from Middle school and up. Our students meet each week on Wednesday and Friday nights as a apart of our CRASH student ministry. Wednesday nights are for students who want to push their faith forward in a specific study of faith and doctrine. On Friday nights our students gather for fun, games, an interactive message from pastor Justin, and snacks. Throughout the month other activities are planned to help the students build their friendships in a fun setting. Check out the Student Ministry page for more information. Our women meet on Wednesday morning and evening in small group settings to study the Bible and further their friendships. Check out the Women's Ministry page for more information. The men of FCC meet on the 2nd Saturday morning of each month for breakfast and a devotional. They also plan outings throughout the year to grow closer as men. Check out the Men's Ministry page for more information. The young couples of our church meet every other week on Sundays for lunch, fellowship, and a study that contributes to the development of their friendships and marriages. Check out the Young Couples link for more information. Our 45+ adults gather together after church once a month for a meal out and time together to encourage and enjoy each other's company. Check out the Primetime link for more information. We also have small groups meeting in homes throughout the North San Diego County for Bible study and friendships. Check out our Faith Groups link for more information. |

Connections Class
|
Once a quarter we offer a class on consecutive Sunday mornings where
you can learn about our purpose as a church, why we value the things we
do, and how to develop close friendships at our church, as well as how
to have a vital personal relationship with God. We will share with you
how you become more involved with the life and people of our church. We would love to have you join us and get better connected here at FCC. To participate in this class you can either e-mail or call the church office (760-426-4479) and sign up for the next class. |

Ministry Teams
|
Join one of our Ministry Teams. We have a place for you to serve that
needs your passions and gifts. Even if you are brand new to our church,
we welcome your help! Serving on one of our Ministry Teams is a great
way to meet others and serve God at the same time. Many of the
opportunities to serve do not require membership, although we encourage
you to take our membership class so that you can hear firsthand how
God has been at work at FCC, what our driving passion is, what we hear
God calling us to be and do as a church, and to make your commitment
to FCC official thereby giving you a greater voice in the life of our
church and greater opportunities for serving. The Ministry Directors over the various areas of ministry give leadership and support to people like yourself who feel passionate about serving others and God. We encourage everyone at FCC to serve out of what excites them rather than out of compulsion or need. While it is true that at times we serve simply because there is a need, we prefer to ask ourselves "What excites us and how has God made and shaped us to serve?" We encourage each member of our Ministry teams to share their own ideas for new or improved ways to get the work done. We value the contributions and ideas of all of our members. Our Ministry teams assist us to live out God's will for the church in the same way that Jesus did, being devoted to His father, to his disciples, and to the lost and hurting of the world. In the same way, we are seeking to live out our devotions to God and his word, to God's people and their well-being, and to our world and their needs. This kind of living pleases God and produces maturity in our lives as His people! Call the church office at 760-436-4479 to get involved in any of these ways. Thanks! |
