Frequenty Asked Questions:
How can funds be withdrawn directly from my account?
| |
Only with your authorization. Nobody can deduct money from your
account electronically unless you specifically authorize it.
|
Are electronic contributions risky?
| |
No. An electronic contribution is safer than writing a check, and it
can’t be lost, stolen or destroyed in the mail. To sign up, only you are
giving information that is already printed on your check. National
laws, rules and guidelines govern all Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT)
transactions. Over four billion EFT transactions are processed annually
in the United States.
|
When would this automatic contribution be taken
from my account?
| |
On the Online Giving site, you can specify whether you want your
contribution made as a one-time, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly gift.
When the date you select falls on a weekend or holiday, the transaction
will occur on the next business day.
|
After I set this up, will I be able to make changes?
| |
Yes, you can make changes at any time by going to our website and
logging in to Online Giving (as you did for set-up). You can easily
change amounts, dates, funds and frequency.
|
Which funds can I give to?
| |
We presently have designated five funds: General Fund, Building
Fund, Missions Fund, Compassion Fund and Student Ministry. If
you have monies to give for anything else (like camps or events),
you must follow the guidelines for payment given from that ministry.
|
Why can't I give by credit card?
| |
FCC Online Giving is not set up to accept credit cards at the present
time. The elders have discouraged using this form of payment for
the following two reasons: 1) With electronic transfer, your entire gift
goes to the church. When using a credit card, as much as 3% of
your gift would go to the credit card company. 2) Although many pay
off their credit cards each month, many do not. We do not want anyone
to go in debt and pay credit interest on gifts given to the church.
